Morning Bliss

After the 2021 passing of my father-in-law in New Zealand came a barrage of miracles to assure that my kiwi-wife could overcome COVID lockdown restrictions to enter the country for our family. On our last of three weekends in spring of 2022, I was treated to several, early-morning miracles including this favorite in Whangamata New Zealand.

I had plotted this general idea of where I’d set up my gear to greet the sunrise. As with many of these four-cornered feelings I was nudged to move - better - RUN more to the north. This result was another great reminder for me that I am never alone. I’d been in an active mental dialogue of gratitude that I was even in the country before experiencing the most color-and-shape-diverse sunrise I’d ever witnessed.

The tree and monolith silhouettes commanded my attention for balance, but the icing on this proverbial cake?.. That wisp of light on the wooden bench, inviting me to sit here, in my mind every time I gaze at this image in my home. (80” / 203cm wide)

Passionate for nature, life, writing and sharing, this site is mutually dedicated to my three favorite vehicles through life - Photography, Writing and Speaking. As professional photographer I was (and still am) in my favored "Observer" mode. As writer, these observations exposed a deeper understanding into ethics, authenticity and leadership. As speaker, I get to be selfish. In giving we gain - big! By helping you to discover your own authenticity, passion and where you too are a leader, I get a huge pang of fulfillment. Yes, I am a giver - the most selfish sort of person that ever was. (that is, once you realize how great the results of giving truly are)
